How to customize interface text with Custom translations

Override the default wording your customers see — across the booking flow, customer portal, login screens, and emails.

Custom translations let you replace almost any text your customers see with your own wording. This applies to your customer-facing pages and emails only — your back-office always stays in English.

Where to find it

Go to Administration → Organization → Custom translations. Each row shows the Default text we ship and a Your translations field where you type your replacement. Leave a field blank to keep the default.

How to edit text

  1. Use the search box and the All areas dropdown (see below) to find the text you want to change.

  2. Type your new wording into Your translations.

  3. Click Save. Changes take effect for customers right away.

Tick Show only custom translations to review just the text you've already changed.

Choose an area

The All areas dropdown narrows the list to one part of the product — the fastest way to find what you need, since each area can hold hundreds of snippets. Pick an area first, then use the search box to jump straight to a snippet.

  • All areas — show everything in one list (useful when searching by wording).

  • Booking flow — the screens customers go through while booking: choosing a date and options, entering traveler details, and checkout.

  • Customer portal — the area customers log into after booking to view and manage their reservation.

  • Authentication — the login and sign-in screens.

  • Emails — automated emails such as booking confirmations, payment reminders, and abandoned-booking reminders.

Keep the {curly bracket} parts

Some text includes values in curly brackets like {customerName} or {tourName}, which are filled in automatically. Keep these exactly as they appear — you can move them, but don't rename or delete them.

  • Hi {customerName}, your trip is almost booked!

  • Hi {name}, your trip is almost booked! (renamed — won't fill in)

If a bracket value is written incorrectly, the editor won't let you save until it's fixed. And if anything ever goes wrong, customers simply see the default wording — your pages and emails never break.

Example

Say you want to change the text shown for Extras. First, check the current wording, then paste it into the search box. Once the snippet appears, type your new wording into the empty Your translations field next to it and save.
