The Messages tab on a booking lets you start email conversations with the booker and travelers directly from Tourseta. Replies land back in the same thread.
Permissions required: Bookings → Messages
How to start a new conversation
Open the booking and go to the Messages tab.
Click + New.
In the To field, the booker is added automatically but you can remove it via X symbol if needed. To include travelers, tap to +Add more.
Enter a Subject — this becomes the email subject line. You can also insert dynamic Variables (such as booker name, tour name, or departure date) into it.
Write your message in the Message field. Use the toolbar for formatting (bold, italic, lists, links), and insert the same dynamic Variables here too.
Optionally, attach files using the Attachments button.
You can also check how your message looks by clicking Preview. When you are ready, click Send.
How to apply template to a message
Templates let you drop in pre-written content instead of retyping common emails. You can apply one when starting a new message or when replying:
In the composer, click the Template button.
A dropdown lists the templates available for bookings. Use the search box to find one by name or subject.
Click a template to apply it. In a new message it fills in both the Subject and the Message body; in a reply it fills in the message body (the subject stays the thread's existing subject).
Edit the text as needed, then add Variables or Attachments before sending.
Preview if needed and click to Send.
Once your message is sent, learn how to reply, close, filter, and assign threads in Manage booking conversations.
