Payment plans control how and when customers pay, not pricing (prices are set per departure). By default, if no payment plan is configured, customers are required to pay the full tour price immediately at checkout.
Payment plans are managed at the tour level and apply to all departures of that tour.
Where to set up the payment plan
Open the tour you want to configure.
Go to Booking → Payment plan.
Click Add plan.
Set the deposit
The deposit is the amount a customer pays when they book — collected immediately once the booking is confirmed, and it counts toward the total tour price.
Set per plan — each plan can ask for a different upfront amount.
Can be 0 — no upfront payment required.
With multiple currencies enabled, the deposit auto-converts to the customer's currency at the locked rate. Use Add rate only to charge a specific amount in a given currency (see How deposits work across currencies).
Set up the payment schedule
Whatever the type, the installments split the balance after the deposit (tour price − deposit).
Flexible payment plan
Equal installments spread evenly from the booking date to a final due date. Because it starts from when each customer books, the in-between dates are calculated automatically for every booking.
What you can configure
Number of installments — 1 to 10.
Days before departure — set the final payment's date, or leave it at the default of 7 days. Everything before it is spaced out automatically.
Amount (%) — the payments are split evenly for you (e.g. 33.33 / 33.33 / 33.34, with the last row taking any leftover). You can change these percentages if you need to — just make sure they add up to 100%.
What your customer sees
Fixed payment plan
Every installment is pinned to a set number of days before departure, so the schedule is identical for every booking — regardless of when the customer books.
What you can configure
Number of installments — how many payments (1–10).
Days before departure — set when each payment is due (90 / 60 / 30 days before, by default). Each one has to be different.
Amount (%) — payments are split evenly (like 33.33 / 33.33 / 33.34). Change the split if you like. It just has to add up to 100%.
What your customer sees
At checkout, customers see this as a Flexible payment plan. The name "Fixed" is only used here in your setup. We highly recommend offering no more than 3 options at checkout, including Pay in full.
Monthly payment plan
Equal payments, once a month. The dates are set for you, and closer trips use fewer payments.
What you can configure
Fully paid before departure (days) — the deadline for finishing payments. Enter 0 to collect up to departure day, or e.g. 30 so everything is paid 30 days before. Required.
Maximum monthly payments — the most payments you'll allow, from 1 to 24 (starts at 24).
What your customer sees
Booked: July 22, 2026
Departs: July 14, 2027
Plan: up to 24 monthly payments, fully paid 30 days before departure (by June 14, 2027)
The $1,291.52 balance is charged monthly from Aug 22, 2026 to May 22, 2027. Only 10 months fit before the deadline, so the customer pays in 10, not 24.
Managing plans
Action | What it does |
Add plan | Creates a new payment plan. Your first plan becomes the default automatically. |
Edit / Delete | Change or remove a plan from its ⋯ menu. This only affects new bookings. Existing bookings keep the plan they were made with. |
Reorder | Drag the handle on the left. This is the order customers see at checkout. |
Set as default | Open the ⋯ menu and choose Set as default. The plan gets a Default tag and is pre-selected at checkout. Only one plan can be default at a time, and customers can still pick another plan or Pay in full. |
Auto-charge installments
Auto-charge controls how installments are paid.
Setting | What happens |
On | Each installment is charged automatically on its due date. Customers don't need to do anything. |
Off (Default) | Customers pay each installment themselves, with a reminder before every due date. |
When customers can only pay in full
At checkout, customers pick Pay in full or a payment plan. A plan appears only if there's still time to collect all its payments before departure. If not, it shows as Unavailable and only Pay in full remains.
