Multi-currency is available on request. To enable it for your organization, contact your account manager.
By default, bookings use your account's base currency. If multi-currency is enabled, you can create a back-office booking in a different currency (the booking currency), which is what the traveler pays in and what all prices are entered and stored in.
How to choose the booking currency
When you create a new booking, use the Currency field to select which currency the booking uses. The list shows the currencies you've set up on your account.
All prices and payments on the booking use this currency.
When the rate locks
The exchange rate is locked at booking creation. Once the booking is created, that rate is fixed for the life of the booking and is never recalculated, even if you later change the currency's exchange rate in your settings.
This keeps the booking value consistent across the payment plan, charges, and reporting. Every charge on the booking uses the same locked rate.
⚠️ Important
Even a draft keeps its locked rate, so to update the rate you need to create a new booking.
How to set up a price
When you add a room, the price per traveler is filled in automatically. The tour price is converted from your base currency into the booking currency, using the rate and rounding you've set up. You can enter a custom price if needed.
The amount marked ≈ at booking rate is the equivalent in your base currency (locked at the moment you created the booking), shown for reference only. Your traveler is always charged in the booking currency.
